The HELO ADJUST restraint device is designed to limit passenger movement while traveling inside of helicopters and also allows for quick ingressing and egressing. The restraint is particularly effective for use when seatbelts or other restraint systems are unavailable or currently being used.
The restraint consists of a unique aluminum adjuster, a semi-static rope, an EASHOOK OPEN connector, and a snap shackle. The adjuster allows the operator to one-handedly lengthen or shorten the tether and automatically locks when the tether is loaded. The EASHOOK OPEN connector features an automatic locking feature that facilitates rapid connection or disconnection from an anchor point.
During an emergency situation, the operator can easily disconnect from the tether by releasing the snap shackle.
WARNING: The HELO ADJUST is a singular purpose tether designed for Military and Law Enforcement operators only who require travel restraint and a quick disconnect function when traveling inside of helicopters. All other unauthorized uses of the tether are prohibited.
The HELO ADJUST meets the performance criteria and testing validation for the safety belts and lanyards program set by the Program Manager, Special Operations Forces Survival, Support & Equipment Systems (PM-SOFSSES) office at the U.S. Army Soldier Research Development, and Engineering Center, Natick, MA and is included in the Approved Product List.
