Heavy duty compact collapsible cones

by

Heavy duty compact collapsible cones. Fits great in my jeep. Does not take up room.

They do the job well but have too strong of a smell

by

I have to keep these cones a vehicle which is why I choose this compact version. The smell however is too strong and disorientating in a confined space.

What is that smell?

by

Decided to try these cones, hoping the heavy rubber base would hold up longer than the flimsy plastic in our older set, They do seem to be much more sturdy and look like they'll last longer and not get broken up as easily through normal use. But the smell! They smell (strongly) like creosote and there's a brownish residue all over the rubber bases. I tried to clean that off and some of it came off but they still smell pretty bad. Unfortunately these won't be carried in an outside compartment on a fire apparatus but inside the confines of an SUV, so I hope the smell goes away eventually. Other than that, they seem pretty good.

Great until they are hit by vehicles

My department purchased 10 sets of these cones for fire runs. They work great and do a great job at not taking up much space. They do have a strong smell that goes away after a while, issue with the cones is they can not take a hit from cars as soon as they do they are do for. That is an issue for my small volunteer department with limited funds. Would i buy these again probably not they are to expensive to not hold up but depending on you're use they may be OK.
