The most comfortable boots you will ever wear.Globe knows physiology. You know comfort. This is where they meet. Anyone who’s ever had to scale a 40 ft. ladder, ventilate a roof, or climb through a narrow window in full turnout gear knows flexibility is key to doing your job effectively. Wearing stiff boots can only hinder performance. Adequate protection is a requirement—comfort isn’t. But if your “protective” boots make your feet ache, let your ankles turn, or simply slow you down, you're not going to be able to perform at your peak.
Feet are meant to bend; so Globe designed their exceptional Structural Series Fire Boots to bend along with you as they provide the most advanced protection and support possible. Quite simply, they’re designed to help you do your job easier. From pulling them on in a big hurry with the Shadow’s soft heavy-duty Nomex® webbing pull straps, to carrying you safely and comfortably through the dangers and hard work you encounter on the fire scene, to taking them off when the job is done.

Siping – thin slits cut into flat areas across the sole – opens up when flexed to provide additional traction on water and ice. Self-cleaning lugs and omni-direction tread pattern designed for superior performance in all terrains and when working on ladders. Optional VIBRAM® ARCTIC GRIP PRO outsoles are available for even better slip resistance on wet ice.
18.Extended Size Range
How do you know if you require “Wide Calf” 14” Globe Boots?
The circumference of the regular calf boot (pull-on) is 17.5” and for the wide calf is 20.5”. Measure the area around the thickest part of your calf to see which boot style is suited best for you.
All Globe Boots include Snug Fit Inserts to customize your comfort level. Use this thicker insert for a snugger fit or when wearing with lighter socks.
Ratings & Reviews
I wouldn't use any other boot in the fire service.
Love these boots!
Bought these 6 months ago and they are great! Feel like Nike athletic shoe meets a boot! I was able to try it on and went with a smaller size length and wider width for perfect fit! one time i wore boot without socks and i had no issues! my old boot i did that once and it tore me up! Great boot, worth every penny. I also tried on 3 other boots when i bought these and the other companies boots felt like cement shoes vs these.
Great boot . MUST HAVE !!!!!!
Had to order the boot on line. Couldnt find dealer that carried them.Great price.
THE BEST BOOT EVER
These are the best boots I have ever worn! Super comfortable and amazingly light weight. I will never wear another boot again.
Best Boots Ive Ever Worn
Bought these boots recently to replace the rubbers that my company had issued me. They are AMAZING! i tried on a few other types of leather boots and nothing felt as good as these globes. No issues with them thusfar
Best Fire Boots Ever
I am at a station that runs about 40 fire related calls a day between an engine, truck, and squad. I have had these boots 6 years and they are as great as the first day I put them on. They are very comfortable and extremely flexible. Whenever they wear out(which appears no time soon) I will buy them again.
Like wearing slippers, in a good way...
These boots are like wearing slippers into a fire; in a good way. They are by far the most comfortable stable boot I have worn for firefighting. They don't feel heavy on your feet, but when you kick something or need that sturdy foundation, they are solid and protect your feet. The pull straps are well sewn on and the seams between the different materials and where they meet are well made and the boot is completely waterproof. The sole has great traction and the toe cap is rugged and resistant against the typical toe worn spot that can develop after hours of crawling. I have tried many of the classic boots and none come even close to how comfortable and durable these boots are. They are pricy but will outlast any other boot in comfort and durability.
Best boot I have ever worn!
THE best boot I have ever slipped my foot into. I was a diehard for Warrington 5007's untill two of my coworkers got the boots, and well I needed boots, and since they where made locally(Auburn Maine is where they are manufactured, and I am from/work the area). Never regretted it. Not only the most comfortable and so far most durable boot I have ever worn, but the most stylish too(Not that it matters). Only thing that makes me miss the warringtons is they have a stiff welt sole, which made feeling the spongyness of a roof as the athletic style construction isn't as stiff.
Love them but just one problem..
Have owned mine for a couple of years now.Feel great and beat a rubber turnout boot any day. The only problem I have found is that the toe cover on my boots have deteriorated over time..They have large cracks in them but are still intack...will see if they get worse.
Don't Buy any other boots
These boots are amazing. They fit like tennis shoes that you can wear into a fire. you'll never buy another pair of boots.
Worth the Price, BEST BOOTS
Best leather bunker boots I have ever owned. Feel light, very flexible. The only thing that needs attention on this boot is more padding on the shin guard. I would recommend these boots to anyone looking upgrade or replace current bunker boots.
Most comfortable footware I own!
I'm in school 5 days a week for my Fire Technology Associates Degree so I can be a career Firefighter, plus I'm a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT. I am in these boots almost every day and they are the most comfortable and durable footware I own! I like to look my best in and out of the uniform and gear and I really like the way these boots look, as well as perform. I am a firefighter in North Dakota/Minnesota and these boots have kept my feet comfortable, even when the temperature on scene and training was zero or below. If you're female like me, know your size in men's. I'm glad these boots come in smaller sizes for people like me with tiny feet. I would recomment these to anyone looking for boots. However, be warned! Once you upgrade to leather boots, you'll never be able to go back to rubber boots again!
I like the fact that you can customize the fit because I have one foot a little bigger then the other. Light weight, flexible worth the money
Worth the price. Great investment.
I love these boots. They are definitely much more comfortable than the rubber ones I was issued. I loaded mine with a pair of shock absorbing inserts, plus some arch supports (although they come with pretty good arch support right out of the box). I can work all day in them. The only negatives I can think of is that mine wear a raw spot on my calf after e few hours if I don't wear long socks. Dan Post boot socks... Problem solved. They get a little heavier when soaked with water, but I reckon that's just common sense.
Not very durable
I like these boots, they are a good fit, comfortable and look good. I bought these boots and they came with an 18month warranty. After 12months they had already started to fall apart at the seems. After 15months they have fallen apart every where and I have prune feet after the end of each day due to the soles wearing through and falling apart and taking on water. The fire store passed me onto the bongo support team and so on. I will not recommend these boots or by them again, very poor quality and I paid for a warranty that got hand balled around until I gave up on it.
no issues yet...but they are new!
Very comfy and perfect fit!
Great service on time! Feel like wearing running shoes!!
What a great product.
I'm a volunteer fireman. I've been wanting a pair forever. My chief finally got me a pair to try to see how I liked them. He said the whole dept may wanna go to this boot.
Best boots ever
Great for fires and just walking around in your bunker pants and boots ... Feels like you wearing a snicker .... Only thing is it takes a little bit to take your bunker pants off and set them up for the next time
as what I wanted! PERFECT!!!
Use this at work.
Love the boots warm light weight
Expensive, but worth it.
While expensive, these are well worth it. I went a half of size bigger, just to make it easier to get into. My last boots were my normal size and fit great, but I wanted to get into them easier. These boots are comfortable and seem to hold up well.
Good product, but too long a wait!
Again, wait is too long after ordering for a product which should be on the shelf.
Most comfortable boot I ever had.
Feels great to wear and work long hours in. Most comfortable boot I ever received in the fire service. Im a firefighter in new jersey across the water from NYC. The boots stood up to the elements of 4 seasons. Warm in the winter, in snow, ice and mud. Also a lot of traction in the elements of winter. I found them to be comfortable and not too heavy in the spring and summer months. Very impressed. I too was a little skeptical when i received them initially when we got new gear, but was very impressed and recommend them to any firefighter volunteer or career. They look a little different than what were all used to seeing, the classic fire boot, but once you wear them you will look right past the fashion aspect.
Nice, but a little disappointed for the price
We've been wearing these boots for a few years now, but we have had to change due to the problems we were having. They fit great when you put them on, but they do not offer good protection and they do not last long.
"How do these boots fit? True to size? Order bigger or smaller than usual size? Thanks."
Fit these boots the same way you'd fit a pair of sneakers. They have an athletic feel to them.
"what is the weight of this boot?"
"I'v been wearing these boots for years and think they are still the best out there. I was wonder is there a leather conditioner that Globe uses on their boots? The leather is starting to dryout behind the toe and I just want to keep the boots in good working order. Thanks."
Reggie, we don't see anything special that they recommend for this, have you tried some place that sells sporting goods, they have a (for a lack of better wording) jelly that you rub on a new baseball glove, or a saddle wax that is used for horse saddles, all of this stuff was used to soften the leather, then it was easy to clean.
"I have this style of structural firefighting boot and think they are great. do these boots have a electrical rating (omega) symbol. electrical shock resistant. The orange omega symbol on the boot states they are rated for electrical shock resistant"
Captain, the following is what we received back from Globe ref to your question; NFPA 1971 has established a minimum performance requirement that all structural firefighting boots be tested in accordance with Section 9 of ASTM F2412, Standard Test Method For Foot Protection. The sample footwear is tested to 14,000 V(rms). Underwriters Lab (UL) performs this test and all our boots are certified by UL as complying with the requirement. The test requirement is that the footwear can show no current leakage in excess of 2.0 mA when tested for electrical insulation. I have not seen the Omega mark on any fire boots. In this case NFPA sets the standard, often using some of the same ASTM standards used for work boots, and UL confirms compliance. I hope this answers your question, if we can help you in any other way let us know,
"I have calves that measure 20.5"" Will these be hard to take off? I'm on my 3rd pair of unusable leather boots, stuck using the old rubbers."
Globe makes the widest calf boot out there, if your sure you are a 20.5 "" we can ask Globe if they have some way to get you some more room at the top of their boot. contact me at email@example.com or 800-852-6088 X1162 and we'll see what we can do. Below is information from globe. How do you know if you require "Wide Calf" 14" or 12" Globe Boots? The standard diameter around the top of 14" and 12" Globe boots is approx. 18". The Wide Calf diameter around the top of 14" and 12" Globe boots is approx. 20.5". Measure the area around the thickest part of your calf to see which boot style is suited best for you. All Globe Boots include Snug Fit Inserts to customize your comfort level. Use this thicker insert for a snugger fit or when wearing with lighter socks.
"How well does the toe hold up to crawling on rough surfaces? will they wear out?"
Sure they will wear out, over time everything is going to wear out. The toes have a protective cap over the top of them for added protection, unlike the older model boots when the toes were worn out just from training the Globe boots are a lot better than those older models.
"what is the difference between wide and extra wide?"
Erica, W= a E width shoe,boot,etc. a Extra Wide = a 3E width shoe or boot
"does this boot come in womens sizes or do I have to buy mens?"
Hi Dragon. They come in women's sizes. http://www.thefirestore.com/store/product.aspx/productId/13131/Globe-FootGear-Supreme-14-Structural-Fire-Boot-Pull-On-Women-39-s-NFPA/
"Are these boots Blood Borne Pathogen approved?"
Yes, these boots are approved to the blood borne pathogen standard, the NFPA 1971 2013 standard includes this as part of the standard.
"does the supreme fire boot have the vibram sole such as the shadow fire boot?"
Hey Big Daddy, all of the Globe boots have the Vibram soles on their boots.
"I have a pair of size 10 xw. Do to a cronic injurry, I am now required to wear an ankle support brace. The XW's are too tight to wear with the brace comfortably. Is it possible to order a wider boot?"
Danny, have you tried a half size or 1 size larger before you go ordering a special made boot? Once you order a special made pair of boots and they don't fit for some reason, they are not returnable.
"Do these keep your toes warm in cold weather? Or am I better off with it's smaller brother the Globe FootGear: 10"" Quad-Certified Technical Rescue?"
You are asking about 2 different style boots, 1 being a structural boot and the other being a Tech Rescue boot, both made by Globe we don't know of any comparisons that have been made as to which boot will keep your feet warmer.
"I heard leather boots are no good because of the chemicals that a firefighter might encounter on a vehicle fire or when foam application is used... such as the boot could break down... Is this true or have we moved past that in technology?"
We have heard the same rumors over the years, and have not seen any boot failures in all of that time frame. For every 12 leather boots we sell there might be 1 rubber boot sold and we sell a lot of boots. Over the years there have been rumors about the rubber boots also, having said all of this the we have moved well past all of this. Most firefighters now take better care of their gear than we use to do in old days, they put more importance in what they wear and how they wear it.
"What are the size differences for the boot width (M, W, EW) in terms of foot width in inches?"
Jason, the width of the boots are based on the same width you would get if you were buying a pair of shoes. If you wear a M (Medium) width than get that for your boot size. We have never seen anything linked to the width in any form of measurement in inch's.
"Are these boots for men or women? I know they differ just wanna order the right ones."
They are listed as men sizes, try these part numbers listed on our web page for women P/N's; 4301400-W, 130140W, 13140W, & 121140W all bunker leather boots made by Globe for women FF
"Are these boots waterproof?"
For the boots to be NFPA approved they would have to be water proof, couldn't be NFPA without that.
"Hi i was just wondering if i could order the inserts only that come with these boots as i already have them but don't have the inserts. thanks"
Joe, Yes you can, we need to know what size and width. What style inserts i.e. snug fit, regular fit, eva inserts etc. Also women's or men's.
"Do these boots run true to size?"
We have found that these boots run true to size and width in 99% of time, your going to get that 1 pair that doesn't fit, but it's very seldom that we have gotten a complaint about sizing.
"If I select woman, does that mean it is women sizes? Is there a size guide that I can use? I know what I wear in Adidas women sneakers and Bates women boots but I'm just scared that there will be a size difference."
Sara, if you select the women's model you will get a women's size, when you order a pair of boots you will get a Blue return form with the order, in the upper left hand corner you will see our return policy. If for some reason you don't think the boots fit as long as you have followed the directions you can exchange them for a different size. We have not had a run on boots being returned for not fitting, you order the correct size there should be no problems, Globe boots run true to size.
"My calf size is 19"" would you recommend a reg or wide calf ?"
Hey Bigfella,, if it were me I would bo with the wide calf,
