The panels are securely suspended at the shoulders to maintain ballistic coverage in the upper torso while preventing the panels from rolling and sagging at the bottom of the carrier.
• Internal 4" elastic cummerbund provides additional stability and comfort to help keep the vest in place during strenuous activity, or simply to prevent it from riding up when sitting.
• ThorShield® protection against electroshock weapons – VISION vests include Pont Blank’s patented ThorShield inner lining. This durable, lightweight, ultra-thin conductive material lining effectively protects officers against non-lethal electroshock weapons such as the TASER® and stun guns.
• Waterproof protection for critical ballistic panels - Heat-welded ballistic panel covers are also waterproof to NIJ .06 standards and treated with an antimicrobial finish—to prevent mildew, reduce odors, and preserve full ballistic performance when exposed to all types of moisture—sweat, high humidity, heavy rain, even total submersion.
• Additional threat protection pockets hidden on the outside front & rear of vest can hold 5 x 8” or 8 x 10” trauma or special threat plates. Covert zipper openings keep the plates secure, yet allow convenient insertion and removal
• Blunt trauma insert included – Vision vests include Point Blank 5" x 8" soft trauma insert. An optional steel trauma insert is also available for an even higher level of protection.
