CTS Mark 40 Aerosols—Compact, personal sized 3.75 oz. stream projectors. These small, dependable, duty-sized aerosol dispensers can deliver 20-25 1-sec. bursts in an aim-able stream with an effective range of 3-12 ft. Water-soluble, food-grade CTS OC pepper spray is available in a range of potencies developed especially to meet the needs of Law Enforcement, Corrections, and qualified Security Officers. The Mark 40 dispenser has a flip-up safety top to prevent accidental activation. Just 6.5” H x 1.5” D, it fits standard MK-4 Sized aerosol holders.

CTS cuts through the OC confusion. Describing the potency of pepper sprays by such dubious “formulas” as “Percentages of OC” and “Scoville Heat Units”, makes it difficult to determine what the true heat level—and therefore the ultimate effectiveness—of any OC aerosol really is. Since Capsaicinoid compounds are the actual heat producers, Combined Tactical Systems believes the best way to indicate true heat levels is to simply quantify the Major Capsaicinoid Content of each formulation. The higher the percentage of Capsaicinoids, the higher the heat level.

L1: Moderate Heat. For normal security use, less dangerous duty situations, or warmer climates. 0.18% Capsaicinoid Content
L2: High Heat. The primary choice for Law Enforcement; a potent duty grade formulation for all but the most extreme situations. 0.67% Capsaicinoid Content. Meets California Dept. of Corrections regulations.
L3: Maximum Heat. For Correctional or Riot Control applications. Extreme potency for extreme situations and unusually resistant individuals. 1.33% Capsaicinoid Content.

Pure, non-flammable, environmentally safe. CTS OC aerosols are known for their safety, as well as their effectiveness. Its non-flammable, non-toxic formula uses only pure food-grade, FDA approved ingredients and safe nitrogen propellant, making it compatible with Tasers and other electronic immobilization devices. Because it’s a water-based formula, decontamination of skin and surfaces is far easier than with oil-based solutions. CTS OC cleans up easily with soap and water, or just a damp cloth. Clothing and fabrics can be cleaned by machine washing or dry cleaning. Airborne OC can be easily cleared from buildings with simple ventilation.

Inert Training Aerosols: All CTS aerosol dispensers are available with inert solutions for training purposes.
OC/CS blend: CTS manufacturers a potent OC/CS blended formula which doesn’t require direct contact with the suspects face to be effective. It’s another effective option for correctional applications or riot control situations where you can’t get directly to your target and where risk of cross contamination or easy cleanup is less of a concern. It’s available in all CTS aerosol dispenser sizes.
10% OC Foam: A special OC formula with L2-level potency is dispensed in an easily-aimable stream of foam which adheres to the skin for maximum effectiveness. It’s an ideal and safer choice for courthouse, correctional, or even retail locations where cross contamination must be kept at a minimum. Available in personal MK-30 and MK-40 dispensers, only.
