RT-I "Roper", the always reliable and safe Rescue Tool for Fire-Fighter applications. This tool is a variation of the world's famous combat proven gravity paratrooper knife LL80 made by Eickhorn-Soligen, in service with more than 50 armed forces around the globe. The LL80 has been redesigned for the fire/rescue service.
Hook: to cut open clothes, bags, etc.
Extremely sharp serrated edge: for cutting seat belts, cords, ropes, telephone lines, non electric cables, etc.
Window-puncher: to smash side and rear vehicle windows with minimal power
Marlin Spike (Awl): The Marlin Spike (awl) folds down out of the handle.
Rounded tip: to avoid injuries
Fast change of blade: without special tools needed
Safety-lock: one-handed use of RT-1, safety-lock positions blade safety inside and outside the handle. Opens one handed even gloved. With thumb release depressed, blade drops from handle and locks into place.
Plastic handle: black or orange handle for optimal visibility, resistant to weak lyes and acids, anti-slippery, self-extinguishing, decontaminating. Easily disassembled for cleaning and decontamination.
