The new triple-layered, laminated micro-polyester fabric is durable, waterproof/breathable, and windproof. This material is welded and seam-sealed and offers 5.11's most waterproof construction ever. Includes traditional duty features like a waist-length cut, epaulets, a badge tab, side zippers, front patch pockets, and sleeve pockets, to make the Specialist an extraordinary duty jacket.

The Specialist features a removable, wind-resistant fleece liner that can be worn separately. It stays warm when wet, doesn’t absorb water and won’t pill. Nylon panels on the chest yoke and shoulders add durability. A knit collar and cuffs help keep the heat in and the wind out. Sleeve and side hand-warmer pockets add utility and comfort.

The Specialist Jacket comes with an ANSI/ISEA 207-2006 traffic vest that can be stored in the rear pocket.
