A complete, compact, 8 oz. cleaning system that fits neatly
into the stock of an M16. For routine maintenance or emergencies in the
field. This 8 oz. standard-issue cleaning kit and its carrying case fit right
into the butt stock of your weapon, so you’ll always have what you need to keep
your M16 clean, clear, and working as it was designed to. Bore obstructions such
as mud, snow, and lodged bullets can be quickly cleared out through the muzzle.
Stuck cartridges can be safely tapped out of the receiver. And whether you’re
at a well lighted table, or in the field, you’ll have the equipment and supplies
to clean your weapon correctly and thoroughly, from breech to muzzle.
The Otis Technology Breech to Muzzle Cleaning System is widely regarded as the

and techniques, dirt and fouling is pulled out of the muzzle, not pushed back
into the action, eliminating the possibility that debris can gum the trigger

OTIS patented M16 patches are designed especially
for a 5.56 mm firearm. When correctly positioned and attached to the slotted-tipped
brass cleaning rod, each Otis all-caliber patch becomes a perfectly circular
cleaning tightly formed to the bore of your weapon. The 750 lb. pull strength
of the Otis Memory flex rod allows you to pull it through the chamber and
barrel from breech to muzzle with the rod precisely in the center. The tight
weave of these patches actually pulls metallic buildup out of the grooves
without leaving debris or fibers embedded along the bore. And with the patch
tightly formed to the bore, it cleans the leading edge of the rifling, to
more effectively preserve the weapon’s accuracy and extend bore life. Unlike
conventional rod and patch systems, the patch cannot compress against the
side of the tip, preventing the rod from jamming off center and scraping the
rifling. These 100% soft cotton patches cannot be dissolved by the bore solvent
like cheap synthetic patches. And because of their unique design, each patch
can provide six clean passes.
Otis 085 UltraBore Solvent is one of the most advanced cleaning
solutions ever developed. It will clean, penetrate, lubricate and leave a
protective coating on all metal surfaces, without damaging the surrounding
wood or plastic components.
Solid forged brass tips and brushes will not corrode or oxidize
like aluminum. Aluminum oxide forms on aluminum rods, and like sandpaper,
will lap your bore with each pass, often followed by a significant loss of
accuracy. Why buy a precision rifle and attempt to maintain it with inferior
components? You can clean your gun with the Otis Kit thousands of times without
a brass component ever scratching a muzzle crown or bore.
Otis phosphor-bronze bristled bore brushes
are widely regarded as the premier gun bore cleaning brushes in the world.
Advanced equipment allows a denser load of bristles, yielding a far greater
number of cleaning tines and delivering much longer life than conventional
bristles. The machined brush stems are compression welded and will withstand
over 200 lbs. of pull force. The diameter of the brush is clearly stamped
on the stem of the brush, so you don't use the wrong size. Each brush comes
in its own protective tube, so its bristles don't get jammed full of whatever
else is in the gun case.
Bore obstruction removers are designed to avoid deforming
a stuck bullet, allowing you to gently force it out of the bore with multiple
taps from the Memory-flex rod.
Memory Flex Cleaning Rod is nylon coated, aircraft-grade
cable with compression welded fittings that will support over a quarter ton
of pull force.
