The tight weave of these patches actually pulls metallic buildup out of the grooves without leaving debris or fibers embedded along the bore. And with the patch tightly formed to the bore, it cleans the leading edge of the rifling, to more effectively preserve the weapon’s accuracy and extend bore life. Unlike conventional rod and patch systems, the patch cannot compress against the side of the tip, preventing the rod from jamming off center and scraping the rifling.
