The TASER® C2 unit
is not considered a firearm by the U.S. government. The unit can be
legally carried (concealed or open) in 43 states without a permit (including
California). Restricted from citizen use in DC, MA, RI, NY, NJ, WI, MI, HI and
certain cities and counties. CT and IL legal with restrictions. Check local
laws on carrying electronic control devices. Available colors: Black
Pearl, Titanium Silver, Electric Blue, Red Hot Red, Fashion Pink, Leopard, Hunter Green Camouflage, Desert Sand Camouflage, and Metallic Pink. Also is available

If the TASER C2 is used in self-defense, it can be deployed and left behind attached to the attacker causing incapacitation while you get to safety. When fired, the TASER C2 will deliver a 30 second energy burst. During this window of opportunity, you can set down the TASER C2 to keep the attacker incapacitated, while you escape. Send TASER International a copy of the police report documenting the incident and they will replace your unit free of charge.

Background Check is Required
Your TASER C2 will be shipped in an inactivated state.
The unit cannot be used until you have successfully completed a background check using SureCheck (a revolutionary new public safety background check technology) from the privacy of your own home using a secure web site or a toll-free 800 number. The $9.95 background check fee is paid directly to TASER International, and is not included in the purchase price of unit.
After completing the background check, you will be issued an activation code unique to your unit's serial number. Only after entering the activation code can the TASER C2 be operated.
If you fail the background check, you will not be given the activation code for the unit, the unit is neither returnable nor refundable
